The Breath of God…

1) Inspires Me

5) Matures Me

Illuminate: Tasty: 1 Peter 2:1-3; Psalm 34:8

 

Spiritual Growth Happens by…

1. Seeing That God Is Good

If you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

2. Ridding Yourself of Sin

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander…

3. Craving Spiritual Milk

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

Illuminate: Illuminate My Path: Psalm 119:105-112

 

The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living.

The Word of God Illuminates My Path Because It…

1. Reveals My Direction

Your word is a LAMP for my feet and a LIGHT on my path. I have solemnly sworn to keep Your righteous judgments.

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
Psalm 119:9 (NIV)

2. Releases My Stress

I am severely afflicted; Lord, give me life through Your word. Lord, please accept my willing offerings of praise, and teach me Your judgments. My life is constantly in danger, yet I do not forget Your instruction. The wicked have set a trap for me, but I have not wandered from Your precepts.

Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4 (CSB)

3. Refreshes My Joy

I have Your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the JOY of my heart. I am resolved to obey Your statutes to the very end.
